CONSULT EXPERIENCED ASTROLOGER FOR MARRIAGE MATCHING

FUNDAMENTALS OF MATCHING HOROSCOPES. 1. There is an old proverb “Marriages are made in heaven”. This means that marriage has a divine approval and blessings. Male and female are two sides of nature. Marriage confers on both the partners Dharma [Right Conduct], Artha [Financial stability], Kama [ Sex Reaction], and Moksha [ Final emancipation]. Ancient Indians therefore called wife as a housewife, to take care of household Chores, a Minister to give advise, whenever required, a friend in need, and a servant to see the comforts of the Husband. She stands by him at the time of crisis. 2. Marriage is not an invitation for a brute sense- gratification nor a civil agreement between the partners, but it is a union of two families, and a social interest. Future generations depend on the Marriage with a correct match. 3. Sexual aspect has a bearing on the psychological and emotional development, and no normal person can escape from its clutches, which is the stepping stone for mutual affection. . 4. Marriage has religious, moral, social and scientific basis. People belonging to the same gotra are not preferred because it affects the offspring. 5. The role of an Astrologer who is knowledgeable and experienced is quite important who has a greater responsibility and more taxing than that of parents and other relatives because of the fact that the parents entirely rely on the strength of the verdict of the Astrologer and agree for the alliance. 6. Here is a piece of advice for the parents of the boys and the girls. It is the duty of the parents to consult an experienced Astrologer and not any Tom, Dick, and Harry who pose as Astrologers as the marriages recommended by them may end in fiasco and failure. This has been observed in several cases brought to my knowledge. 7. There is another case where the parents had given wrong information, and the marriage had failed, bringing doom to the boys and girls, and finally to the parents. This is the case with parents whose ward is not getting suitable match due to harmful Nakshatras of their Girls, and the age of their ward is going beyond marriageable age and not knowing what is to be done to get their Daughters married by hook or crook by manipulating the Horoscope which may not be that of their ward. 8. Then what is to be done by the Astrologer in that case? An Experienced Astrologer can find out the truth by seeing the Horoscope about the uncertainty of the date of birth or other related details. 9. Horoscope matching is not ony a difficult task for an Astrologer but also an important and onerous one. Because the entire married life of the Couple depends on the strength of the Astrologer’s verdict who agree for the alliance. Sreenivas Desabhatla

SOLAR SYSTEM AND ASTROLOGY Classification or Vargeekarana of Planets. The planets of the modern solar system are grouped into several different and sometimes overlapping classifications Inferior Planets - Mercury, Venus. Inner Terrestrial Planets - Earth, Mars Astroid Belt Outer Planets - Jupiter, Saturn , Uranus, Neptune These are also Gas Gaints and also called as Jovian Planets. Superior Planet - Pluto 1. The planets inside the orbit of the earth are called the Inferior Planets: Mercury and Venus. 2. The planets outside the orbit of the earth are called the Superior Planets: Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. 3. The planets inside the asteroid belt are termed the Inner Planets (or the Terrestrial Planets): Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. 4. The planets outside the asteroid belt are termed the Outer Planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. 5. The planets sharing the gaseous structure of Jupiter are termed the Gas Giant (or Jovian) Planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The 7 Planets of the Ancients The term "planet" originally meant "wanderer": it was observed long ago that certain points of light wandered (changed their position) with respect to the background stars in the sky. In ancient times, before the invention of the telescope and before one understood the present structure of the Solar System, there were thought to be 7 such wanderers or planets: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon, and the Sun. This list is different in several respects from our modern list of planets: 1. The Earth is missing, because it was not understood that the points of light wandering on the celestial sphere and the Earth on which we stood had anything in common. 2. Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are missing because they would only be discovered when the telescope made them easily visible. o Uranus is barely visible to the naked eye; it was discovered in 1781. o Neptune and Pluto are too faint to see at all without a telescope; they were discovered in 1846 and 1930, respectively. 3. The Sun and the Moon were classified as planets because they wandered on the celestial sphere, just like Mars and Jupiter and the other planets. A central theme of our initial discussion will be how the "7 planets of the Ancients" (only 5 of which are really planets) evolved into our present list of Solar System planets. Stars Look Different from Planets Planets (and the Sun and Moon) have some observational characteristics that distinguish them from what we would now call the stars: Observational Differences between Planets & Stars PLANETS STARS The planets move relative to stars on celestial sphere The relative positions of the stars are fixed on celestial sphere The nearer and larger planets appear as disks in telescope The stars appear as "points" of light, even through the telescope The brighter planets do not "twinkle" The stars appear to "twinkle" The planets are always near the imaginary yearly path of the Sun on the celestial sphere (theecliptic) Stars can be anywhere on the celestial sphere These observational differences, particularly the "wandering" of the planets on the celestial sphere, attracted a lot of attention from ancient observers of the sky. The attempt to explain these differences ultimately led to the birth of modern astronomy. Astro Guru Sreenivas Desabhatla

ASPECTS OF PLANETS ASPECTS OF PLANETS The vibrations of planets are said to be focused at particular angles called aspects. It is interesting to note that the aspects are considered good or bad both in Western astrology. But in our technique (vedic), all aspects are positive. The following table shows the aspects of planets. Planet Houses aspected and the polarity of the aspect SUN 7 MOON 7 MARS 4, 7, 8 MERCURY 7 JUPITER 5, 7, 9 VENUS 7 SATURN 3, 7, 10 THE NODES 11 When a planet A is in aspect to another planet B, then we can say A is in aspect to B or B is in aspect by A. Graha drishti or planetary aspect is thought to be a very important feature of Vedic horoscope reading. And it is not at all an exaggeration that the planet aspects or the angular distances between the planets are no less important or significant than the sun position or the moon position. Each planetary aspect can influence different spheres of your life in a certain way depending on the angles they mutually form between themselves. Importance of Graha drishti Each of the astrology planets has typical influences on the nature, character and personality traits of a person. The interesting thing is that the influence of astrology planets depend on their drishtis on other planets – how they aspect other planets and how they are aspected by others. Therefore, to know the influences of the planets exactly as they are, you need to get a graha drishti analysis or a planetary aspect calculation and interpretation. In Jaimini Astrology Rasis aspect Rasis and Planets therein. I will give the details in the next post

Signification of Planets in Astrology Planets power a chart, as they influence the houses of a chart in their own characteristic ways. Planet also means, ‘Wanderer’, which is true of their nature, as they move in their own orbits through space. A planet is a celestial body that follows a solar orbit, but in astrology planets represent astrological powers and influences that may not necessarily come from the actual physical planet that exists in the solar system. 1. There are nine planets in Vedic astrology and these are divided into two groups: Group – I - Sun – Moon – Jupiter – Mars Group – II – Saturn – Mercury – Venus – Rahu – Ketu 2. The Sun and the Moon are included, although astronomically, these are not planets. ‘Rahu’ and ‘Ketu’ are sensitive points and are considered as planets that are exclusive to Vedic astrology, whereas Pluto, Neptune and Uranus are a part of Western astrology not included in traditional Vedic astrology calculations. The planets of both groups, with exception of Mercury and the Sun and to a lesser extent Saturn and Jupiter, are neutral or opposed to one another. In Vedic astrology planets are assigned different qualities which determine their characteristics and hence their influences in a chart. However, the effects that a planet can have depends on it’s position in the chart in question, the houses that it rules over and influences and the influences of other planets in the chart. Some of the qualities associated with planets are: 3. Planetary Gender: The Sun, Mars and Jupiter are male, the Moon, Venus, Mercury and 'Rahu' are female, while Saturn and Ketu are neutral. 4. Castes of Planets: Planets also follow the Hindu caste system. Jupiter and Venus are ‘Brahmins’ or priestly, the Sun and Mars are ‘Kshatriyas’ or warriors, the Moon is ‘Vaishya’, or a trader, Mercury is a ‘Vaisya’, Saturn ‘Shudra’, or a lower caste and Rahu and Ketu are outcastes. According to another view Mercury is a ‘Shudra’, and Saturn an outcaste. There is yet another view according to which Mercury is of a mixed caste. 5. Planetary Natures: Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are naturally benevolent. Similarly the waxing Moon is a benefic. The waning Moon and Mercury can be malefic. The Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu are naturally malevolent. 6. Planetary Qualities: The Sun, Moon and Jupiter are ‘Satvika’, or have pure characteristics, Mercury and Venus of ‘Rajas’ or have worldly, material or passionate characteristics and the remaining planets viz. Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu are of a ‘Tamasik’, or dark, ignorant or carnal nature. 7. Seasons: There are six seasons that correspond to the following planets: 1. ‘Vasant’, (Spring) : Venus 2. ‘Grism’ (Summer) : The Sun and Mars 3. ‘Varsha’ (Rainy) : The Moon 4. ‘Sarad’ (Autumn) : Mercury 5. ‘Hemanta’ (Dewy) : Jupiter 6. ‘Sisira’ (Winter) : Saturn 8. Corresponding Gemstones: The corresponding gemstones for each planet are: 1. The Sun : Ruby. 2. The Moon : Pearl, moonstone. 3. Mars : Red coral. 4. Mercury : Emerald. 5. Jupiter : Yellow sapphire/topaz. 6. Venus : Diamond. 7. Saturn : Blue sapphire. 8. Rahu : Agate, hessonite. 9. Ketu : Cat’s eye. 9. Physical constituents: In ‘Ayurveda’ the Human body is considered to be constituted of seven materials or ‘Dhatus’, These also correspond to different planets: 1. The Sun : Bones 2. The Moon : Blood 3. Mars : Marrow 4. Mercury : Skin 5. Jupiter : Fat 6. Venus : Semen 7. Rahu : Muscles 10. Elements: There are five elements constituting the entire Universe. They are (1) Prithvi or Earth (2) Apah or water (3) Teja or Fire (4) Vayu or Wind (5)Akasha or Ether. These are the subtle things of which you see the grosser forms in the world. The Sun and Mars own fire, the Moon and Venus water, Mercury earth, Jupiter ether and Saturn wind. 11. Planetary Cabinet: The Sun and Moon are the Royal Couple, Mars the Commander, Mercury the Crown Prince, Jupiter and Venus are Ministers and Saturn the Servant. These seven planets also represent in order Soul, Mind, Courage, Speech, Wisdom, Happiness, Sexual passion and grief. They also represent the senses and their functions thus, Mercury governs smell (nose), the Moon and Venus the taste (tongue), the Sun and Mars form (eye) Jupiter sound (ear) and Saturn, Rahu and Ketu touch (skin). 12. Planetary Aspects: The planets have four kinds of aspects. The mode of looking at the 3rd and 10th houses from the one occupied by a planets is termed a quarter aspect, looking at the 5th and 9th is half-aspect at the 4th and 8th houses is a 0.75 aspect and at the 7th house is full aspect. There is a speciality in the case of Jupiter, Mars and Saturn. In the case of Saturn even the quarter aspect is considered to be full. So, his aspects fully at the 3rd, 7th and 10th house from the house occupied by him. In case of Jupiter even half aspect is considered to be full. So his aspects fully the 5th, 7th and 9th houses from the house occupied by him. In the case of Mars even a 0.75 aspect is full. So his aspects fully the 4th, 7th and 8th houses from the house occupied by him. You know that Mars and Saturn are among Malefic. Hence their aspects cannot but be malevolent in nature

INTERPRETATION OF D-10 DASAMSA CHART

Dasamamsa chart can pinpoint factors causing delays and temporary disappointments in profession.
Dasamamsa Lagna shows fame related to work, Lagnesh shows attitude and motives in work (Dasamamsa).
Second house shows investments and group whilst second lord shows source of it and group which you belong to.
Third house is related to agreements and communications, whilst third lord shows short journeys.
Forth house is seen for analysing property, office, business located and the lord shows personal secretary - someone you trust, very close and crucial.
Fifth house shows employees in business. When it is strong brings higher promotions.Fifth lord shows immediate subordinates.
Sixth house shows staff functions, whilst its lord brings enemies causing damage.
Lord of seventh house shows our public relations; if Mercury is the lord then the person has a pleasing personality - saumya, Jupiter brings good advice and Mars can be a challenging to everybody in office. Shani criticizes everyone, so if malefic lord has relation with the seventh lord then public relation may be bad. House is related to type of business, if malefic is there people can become very jealous.
Eighth house shows loans and debts which is good for business, if there is malefic then its inauspicious to be engaged in business activities, eight lord brings troubles.
Ninth house shows government, law and ninth lord stands for guide and advisors.
Tenth house shows company career. It is auspicious to pray to the Deity of that planet and put it in office for achieving success.
Eleventh house shows friends in group and the lord shows training development.
Twelfth house bring secret enemies and even one benefic therein is a huge blessing for the native.
If houses and lords are strong and well-placed then one meets with fortune related to that part of work. The native gets the opposite effects for weak and afflicted grahas.Job/buisness connected to strong graha (avastha) will be a source of success and money. Neecha graha can bring skill and finances but also lot of stress.
Principles of Interpretation of Dasamamsa Chart are given below:
1. In Dasamamsa Lagna / lord of the lagna assumes a tremendous significance. If Lagna is aspected by benefics, it becomes strong then it may be presumed that career of the native stands on a good foundation provided, of course, Lagna chart does not tell altogether different results.
2. If powerful Sun is posited in upachaya houses aspected by Jupiter, native is likely to get recognition and eminence in career.
3. If Dasa lord is strong in lagna chart and poised to give good results but lacks adequate strength in Dasamamsa, such Dasa lord may create uncertainties, under critical sub – periods. A sub dasa lord unfavourably placed in Dasamamsa from Dasa lord and afflicted with malefic may even temporarily hold up anticipated results.
4. Planets in tenth house in Dasamamsa during their ruling periods will better the prospects of one’s career.
5. If there is no planet in tenth house in Dasamamsa, then its lord during its ruling period will confer honour to the native.
6. Planets aspecting lord of tenth house in Dasamamsa should also be considered powerful with respect to one’s profession.
7. The period of planets in kendra of Dasamamsa will be a mile stone in one’s career.

Sun In Sagittarius Aspected by Jupiter and Saturn

December 16 and January 14
The Sun is the Paramatman, the Supreme Self and the Supreme power. It is the ONE within, undifferentiated from all varieties and illusions of form. That “light within” casts no shadow, because it is not dependent on form. However, because we think we are these limited forms, we also identify with limited, localized power and its shadow expressions.
Sagittarius is the sign of hope optimism and the teachings that connect us to a higher sense of meaning and purpose. Between December 16 and January 14 the Sun will be in Sagittarius, where the Supreme power will be focused on these higher teachings and a deeper sense of meaning and purpose.
Also, the ruler, Jupiter will be aspecting this Sun in Sagittarius, actively spreading that hopeful influence to this sense of power.
Saturn will also be aspecting, giving determined efforts and the power of concentration to the mix.
Your own personal authority and sense of self-respect must come from you. It will never come from another. If you are selling your integrity down the toilet, rather than get angry at the person who is doing it, get clear within yourself and act with courage and righteousness.

IMPORTANCE OF MOON IN ASTROLOGY

MOON THE MANAH: KARAKA IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY
Moon in astrology has a high importance. Moon rules over the zodiac Cancer on account of which the natives of this zodiac signs are believed to be most emotional people as Moon bestows them all the feelings and sentiments. The Moon is said to represent the feeling nature of the individual. The moon is associated with a person's emotional make-up, unconscious habits, memories and moods. It is also associated with the mother. Astrologers traditionally also consider the phase of the moon at the time of birth in interpreting its effects on the individual. A person born in the first phase of the moon [New] will have an underlying sense of youthful enthusiasm and optimism. They will probably get off to an early start in life prefer to take the initiative and be quite successful when young. a person born in the second quarter will be ambitious and sociable. They will have a charismatic personality that draws others to them. They prefer a career where they are out in front and have attention and status. A person born in the third quarter will be sensitive to the needs of others and expects others to be sensitive to their own needs. There is a tension and nervousness at play and the most successful time of life will be in the middle years. A person born in the fourth quarter will have an underlying feeling and will finish the projects that others start, and reorganize and sort out the problems left by others. The person can be too sensitive and become upset by the demands of others and will work best in groups and are not materialistic, but they do need job satisfaction. They may be slow to grow up, and achieve success in something unusual and completely individual.
Indian astrology features the idea of the Lunar Mansion or Nakshatra that the Moon passes through of 13 degree 20 minutes of the Zodiac. Traditionally, the nakshatra position of Moon is computed for a native's mental make-up, and calculations of planetary periods –Dasa System, which is unique to only Vedic Astrology.
Each nakshatra is further partitioned into four equal segments known as charan or pad. Nakshatras have an important place in Horoscope Matching, Mahurtha, Panchanga and Prashana among other things. It is one of the three ascendants in the birth chart or a horoscope of a person. The weak or ill-placed moon could make the mental constitution weak and cause many mental and psychological problems like depression, anxiety, mental tensions and mood disorders. A powerful moon placed in a good house could bring all the worldly pleasure like wealth, happiness, vehicles, property, high designation in profession and support of authorities. It will also fill the personal life or family life of a person with happiness.
Understanding the moon is what allows us to understand the heart of our clients, and ourselves. Even though the moon is typically said to rule “the emotions”, that is just on the surface. Unfortunately, most of us live on the surface of our mind - riding up and down on the waves of emotion rather than sinking deeper, into the heart of truth within us.

The “moon yogas” technique uses a very scientific approach, relevant for Western or Vedic astrology, which assesses planets in spatial relationship to the moon. Learning this allows us to know for certain the psychological patterning and process, as well as those things that give consistent support.

How the Moon Works
The moon is how we receive, feel and integrate life's experiences.
Planets before the moon condition us to receive.
Planet with the moon are joined our emotions in real time.
Plants after the moon help us integrate our emotions.

Besides this process, there are planets angular to the moon which offer enduring support.
Planets in the fourth house from the moon bring an introspective quality.
Planets in the seventh house from the moon show support from others, especially partners.
Planets in the 10th house from the moon show support through handling our duties and responsibilities.
The Moon will be in a trinal relationship with Jupiter bringing a deep sense of hope and purpose (Jupiter) to your mind (Moon) and life, aligned with the discipline (Mars) to implement your goals.

This Jupiter trine Moon/Mars takes place in our higher purpose and meaningful goals in life. We all want our actions to be successful in the highest sense and yield consistent fruits.
This is a very subtle, yet elegant and universal technique from the heart of Vedic astrology. It is steeped in the wisdom of yoga and universal principles of body, mind and spirit. Those concepts transcend systems, cultures and the techniques based on them.

INTELLIGENCE IN THE BIRTH CHART Part II

CASE STUDIES FOR INTELLIGENCE IN THE BIRTH CHART
In the Chart of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishna Kanya Lagna rises. Mercury- Venus are in Virgo and hence Bhadra yoga in ascendant that conferred on him philosophical and spiritual intelligence; generous and virtuous nature as well as highest post in government. He was blessed with high IQ, EQ and SQ , name, fame and prosperity.
The natives with Saraswati yoga are highly intelligent. They get several opportunities to lift themselves to peak. They are scholars in their subjects and strong in narration. This yoga is formed when the Mercury, Jupiter and Venus occupy either in a cardinal house or angle or in 2nd house. The Jupiter must not be in any inimical sign.
The Birth Chart of Pt. Motilal Nehru father of Jawaharlal Nehru , illustrates the Saraswati yoga as it shows the occupancy of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in cardinal houses and Budh-Aditya yoga in 10th house. Jupiter being in Cancer ascendant in exalted state is very powerful. He was a very intelligent advocate and due to his good analysis, narrative and understanding power he earned a lot of name, fame and prosperity.
In Parvat yoga observe where the ascendant lord is posited, the lord of that sign be posited in either own or exaltation sign identical with kendra or trikona. Such natives are full of courage, endurance, enthusiasm and intelligence.
Sagittarius and Pisces are mutable-fiery and mutable-watery signs respectively affecting our cerebrospinal region and hence influence super conscious mind. Both these signs and their lord Jupiter make the God-spot very active and sensitive so that the brain becomes very swift to grasp the matter of religion and philosophy. Therefore, these signs and their lord Jupiter govern introspectional, emotional, philosophical and spiritual intelligence. It is observed that world’s great philosophers and spiritual scholars were born with strong Jupiter posited in sign either own or exaltation. In the Horoscope of Sreenivas Desabhatla Saggitarius rises with its Lord Jupiter is placed in the Fifth house of intelligence with exalted Sun. Mercury attained Neechabhanga Rajayoga in the Chart. His dispositor is in the fifth. When Jupiter influences Mercury, the native gets astrological intelligence.
Sagittarius born personalities of high repute are Swami Vivekananda, President Dr. Abdul Kalam, Prime-Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Dr. Amartya Sen and founder of Reliance group Dhiru Bhai Ambani. All are very intelligent in their respective fields and earned good name, fame and prosperity.
When Jupiter influences Mercury, the native gets astrological intelligence. Similarly, if Jupiter and Saturn both influence Sun, Moon and Mercury, the native gets mythological and religious intelligence.
Rabindra Nath Tagore was born in Pisces ascendant. His chart shows Budha-Aditya, Parvat, Parijat, Saraswati and some other yogas. The ascendant lord Jupiter is in Cancer (sign of exaltation) strengthening the ascendant by its aspect. The chart is further strengthened by exalted Sun conjoined with Mercury and Venus, that rendered him a man of great artistic, poetic, political, philosophical and writing intelligence in addition to generous, ingenious, virtuous and versatile nature. He achieved the peak of reputation spread all over the world as he was awarded with Noble Prize on November 13, 1913 for his book Geetanjali.
Moon is an emotional, impulsive and imaginative planet. It represents compassionate and sympathetic wave of the brain, ie, psychology of the native. It endures some erudite combinations such as Mahabhagya and Kesari yogas. Mahabhagya yoga of a male native is formed when Ascendant, Sun and Moon are posited in odd signs while in case of females it is formed when Ascendant, Sun and Moon are posited in even signs. The Kesari yoga is formed when Moon is in cardinal position to the Jupiter. These yogas are benedictive to the native for high intelligence and high position. Such natives get name, fame, popularity and prosperity in their life. The above combinations are present in the writer of this Article.

COMBINATIONS FOR INTELLIGENCE IN A BIRTH CHART

Astrologically, there are some places of intelligence in a chart. House 2 refers to the knowledge given in school and colleges, house 4 is related with emotions and house 5 is related with brain cells. Similarly, planets and their signs are very closely related with intelligence. All know that the Sun is a source of heat and light energy as well as illumination. It enlightens our consciousness. Intelligibility is itself illumination. Thus Sun in strong state in a given chart agitates the brain cells of the native and increases his Atmabala (self confidence) and Atmagyanam (self knowledge) soaring his intelligence to change the appearance, physical prowess and spiritualism. The human brain possesses a very sensitive place called God-Spot which becomes active at the time of spiritual discussion. In fact, Sun radiates spiritual energy which is received by those persons who have Sun in strong state in their charts. This phenomenon is enhanced when Sun is associated or aspected by Jupiter.
Sun in own sign Leo is associated with Jupiter in the house of emotions. This is a beneficial association that shakes the conscious mind and indicates the benevolent, just, placid and peaceful nature of the native. The association is aspected by philosophical Saturn (Lord of 9th & 10th house) and activated by the disposition of Mercury in its sign of exaltation Virgo in the house of intelligence. This type of planetary position sparks the brain cells of the native for religious, spiritual and philosophical intelligence. Hindu mythology stresses upon to get rid of desires and to move towards renunciation.
Mercury and its signs Gemini and Virgo govern cerebrospinal system i.e. brain & nerves. It is observed that Mercury in Gemini is very mental and in Virgo it is very commercial. If Sun or Mercury or both are in either sign Gemini or Virgo, the nervous system of the native becomes sensitive extraordinarily. The Virgo sign is very creative and hence Mercury in Virgo creates a huge mental energy which provides intrinsic growth of intelligence of mental and commercial exercise. Such natives may adopt their carrier as a teacher, writer, reporter, editor, orator, market analyser or trader.
When Mercury occupies its own sign in any cardinal house, Bhadra yoga (one of the Panch Mahapurusha Yoga) and when it is with Sun, Budh-Aditya Yoga emerge out. Both these yogas are synonym of intelligence and predict human excellence for auspicious, gracious, prosperous, noble and social nature with high value of lQ, EQ and SQ. If Sun and Mercury are together in the 4th or 8th house from the ascendant, the native will be equal to a king in power, wealth and qualities; in other houses this combination makes one virtuous (Prithuyas in Horasara).

Predicting Foreign Travel from the Horoscope

Foreign Travel and Astrology
As per the Parasara system, the houses 3, 9 and 12 signify travel. My research has shown that the 8th house also plays a very important role in deciding travel abroad. The 8th house, is the 11th from the 10th. If we go into the scriptures of the past, associations of the 8th house and travel abroad are always signified as ‘Kala Pani’, ‘ Desh Nikala’ or to be deported across the ocean. i.e. at that time, it meant that being displaced from the place where you are born and wandering in foreign lands was not a very happy situation, which was related to the value systems. The 8th house and its association with other houses like the 4th (for leaving family behind) and the 7th (for being separated from wife) need to be analysed.
The modern trend has changed from the era when Classics on Astrology was written. Travelling abroad is one of the cherished dreams of most Indians now. Large number of Indians are traveling abroad for realizing their ambition.
Purpose of travel
The purpose for which he will go abroad has to be ascertained from the lord of the 6th house (i.e. 9th from the 10th house and the 11th from the 8th house).
People visit foreign countries for various purposes some go there for vacations, some go on business trip, some students go for further higher education. But most of them go on the basis of the intension to settle there. When 4th lord is placed in 12th house then native will be more beneficial in living abroad rather than at his native place.
Primary houses for foreign journey which are 9th and 12th house fall in moveable signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) or water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), then there is a possibility of foreign travel (or travel over the seas!). It is obvious from the above that Cancer is a powerful sign in this regard as it is both a moveable sign and a watery sign. Thus if the 9th or 12th houses of a horoscope fall in these signs, or if the 9th or 12th house lords fall in these signs, you may deduce that foreign travel is indicated for such natives.
For higher education one may go to a Foreign country . 4th house stands for basic education and 9th house stands for advanced courses and specializations. Association of 5th, 9th, and 12th lords in the Dasamsha indicate traveling abroad for professional reasons. These persons are usually employed as skilled professional like (scientists, professors, etc.)in abroad. If the combination of 9th and 10th lord is associated with the 12th house, the native may go on to win prestigious awards in the foreign country. When 10th and 12th lords of the dasamsha have mutual aspect or association Similar results may be expected. The concerned Planets in moveable signs indicate travels away from homeland and hence might indicate long stay abroad.
When once the Foreign Travel is confirmed then see the periods for foreign travels along the following lines.
1. Dasa/ bhuktis of Rahu, Venus, or Moon if these planets are in the 12th house.
2. Dasa/ bhukti of the 9th lord or the 12th lord, or the planets that are in association with the 12th lord
3. Sub-periods of Ketu and Rahu in the major period of Rahu.
4. When Jupiter in its transit aspects the 9th or 12th house, or aspects the 9th/ 12th house lords
5. Foreign journeys are experienced even during sade-sathi.
Directions associated with the journey: which is mostly linked with Rasi’s direction:
Rasi which represent the western side are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius
When the concerned lords and Moon are placed in respective houses like 9th, 12th or 4th in these Rasis then chances are more bright that one will go to US or Canada.

Second Cycle of Sade Sati around 30 years

Second Cycle This may be around Thirty plus Years of Age.
During the Second Cycle when Saturn transits first house from Moon for 2.5 years, it affects the native himself related to his domestic field (From the Moon Sign, 7th aspect on 7th house – Wife and Partners, and professional fields(10th aspect on 10th house). By 3rd Aspect of Saturn he may cause some problems to his younger brothers and sisters. Being in the fist house from the Moon, it denotes ill health for the native. It can result in Weak finances, many miseries, loss of health, separation from family, loss of friends, increase in unnecessary expenditure, failure in undertakings, humiliation, loss of self confidence and self respect. One must keep in mind that these results can occur only when Saturn is acting as a pure malefic in the native’s chart as explained above. Less than 5% of the natives going through Sade Satti will actually feel all these results. For most of the people there will be mixed results only.

THE MYTH OF ECLIPSE

THE MYTH OF ECLIPSES EXPLAINED ON DISCUSSION WITH MY FRIEND SADASIVA WHO IS AN ASTROLOGER FROM USA.
Sreenivas, we are still in the Jaws of the Scorpio Solar eclipse this week, working towards the balance that will hopefully come on the Lunar eclipse in Taurus on December 10, 2011. Rahu has been munching on our deepest emotional fears and vulnerabilities since May 2011, and now HE IS KING for another week.

The Lunar eclipse will arrive in hopes of restoring stability (Taurus) to the emotional challenges and courage (Scorpio) we are developing now.

But our relationships may be really taking a beating, so now is a good time to have a look into your relationship nature and trigger points.
OFF WITH OUR HEAD:
Eclipses show the moments when body (Earth), mind (Moon) and spirit (Sun) all line up in 3Dimensional space. In these moments, amazing potential and insights become available to us. But the mind must be quiet, (headless) otherwise we may just spin out into fantasy and stress.

In the myth of the eclipse, the demon has his head chopped off after drinking the immortal nectar and feeling the real power. So we sense the possibility of drinking from the waters of truth and power now, but it may just be a worldly power fantasy, not a truthful one.

We must lose our head to purity and truth, not to a lustful, worldly possibility. If we can manage to stay pure in thought and practice this week, amazing insights will be possible on the Lunar eclipse day and beyond.
The real answer to all of our problems
Love of Guru is the answer
Unlike other paths of growth, where discipline marks our progress through incremental steps, Smaranam (remembrance) is the quickest and most complete form of worship and connection to truth - because it is connected to love.

There are no incremental steps with love - no discipline or work required. Love connects you immediately with the beloved, in totality. This is why the love of a Guru is the supreme path in spiritual growth, because at any moment you can connect fully to the truth - just through remembrance of the divine form.

When there is love, there is remembrance. So, make sure the things you love and are constantly remembering are worthy of your divine nature, because they are also your teacher and your truth in any moment.
